Nouryon's Iron Chloride finds its way in several applications such as waste water treatment, drinking water production, cosmetics and even in pharmaceutical products such as medicines.

Iron chloride is produced from chlorine; either virgin chlorine or chlorine from hydrochloric acid; and iron.
We supply both ferrous chloride (FeCl2) and ferric chloride (FeCl3).

Waste Water Treatment

Phosphate has a fertilization effect in water which causes unwanted algae growth. Phosphates can be precipitated by dosing inorganic coagulants (Iron Chloride). Iron Chloride can also be used for separation of suspended solids from water. Chemical coagulation is an important process in water treatment for the removal of turbidity and particles as well as to enhance sludge dewatering.

Drinking Water Production

Water has to be purified against pathogens before it can be used for human consumption. And drinking water should preferably be colorless to be enjoyable. Coagulation with iron chloride is the most commonly used technique for removing particles, bacteria, virus, clay color and other pathogens.
